Ukrainian soldiers return from captivity. Photo: Telegram/Volodymyr ZelenskyyOn Sunday, 25 May, 303 Ukrainian defenders returned to Ukraine as part of a prisoner of war exchange with Russia.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the exchange of prisoners with Russia in the format of «1000 for 1000» is complete.
According to him, soldiers of the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and the State Special Transport Service are returning home.
«I am grateful to the team that worked around the clock to make this exchange a success. We will definitely return each and every one of the Russian captives», Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.

After that, on 24 May, another 307 servicemen returned to Ukraine as part of the second stage of the exchange
