4 people for one vacancy — the Employment Centre told about the unemployment situation in the Mykolaiv region

However, this figure is slightly different in different districts of the region, the Mykolaiv Regional Employment Centre told NikVesti.
In Mykolaiv district, the figure is 2 people per 1 vacancy, and in Bashtanka district, a significant part of which was in the combat zone and under occupation, the figure is 37 unemployed per 1 vacancy.
In general, they added, employers are now submitting fewer vacancies to the Employment Centre compared to the pre-war period. Before the war, employers submitted more than 20,000 vacancies a year, while in 2024, they submitted only 8,700.
In the article, macroeconomist and expert in tax and budget legislation Danylo Monin said that the main problems facing Ukrainian business today are taxes and mobilisation.
