On the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region, on the eve of the start of the school year, the Russians conducted inspections of families with children.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson RMA, announced this on September 6.

«On the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region, on the eve of the start of the academic year, the invaders conducted inspections of families with children,» the message reads.

Collaborators accompanied by armed soldiers came to the families and threatened to deprive them of parental rights if the students did not attend schools in which the occupiers implemented the Russian curriculum.

They also checked the availability of applications on gadgets that are used for learning in Ukrainian schools.

Oleksandr Prokudin emphasized that in «Russian educational institutions» children continue to be brainwashed by Russian propaganda.

After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian authorities significantly limited access to the Ukrainian information field in the temporarily occupied territories. These restrictions apply both to access to official websites of Ukrainian state bodies and to websites of Ukrainian media.
