In July 2025, consumers of «Mykolaivoblteploenergo» were recalculated and refunded more than UAH 53 million for heating.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Mykolaiv region.

It is noted that after the end of the 2024-2025 heating season, the department began to receive complaints from residents of Mykolaiv about inflated tariffs applied by «Mykolaivoblteploenergo».

Experts conducted 151 unscheduled inspections and found out that the company was simultaneously applying single-rate and two-rate tariffs. This led to the fact that consumers of district heating were charged for the general house needs at an inflated price - UAH 1,999.08 per gigacalorie instead of UAH 1,129.33.

As a result of the inspections, the company received 106 decisions to impose administrative and economic fines in the amount of over UAH 120,000 and 85 orders to eliminate violations in the establishment and application of state regulated prices in the amount of over UAH 115,000.

Consumers can view the recalculations in their personal accounts at «Mykolaivoblteploenergo» or in the July bills of the Mykolaiv Information and Settlement Centre.

Earlier it was reported that in Mykolaiv, condominiums are trying to cancel the two-rate heating tariff from «Mykolaivoblteploenergo», which makes apartment residents overpay for the service.
