Benefactors collected ₴340,000 for books for the libraries of the de-occupied Mykolaiv Oblast in 4 months

The savED charity fund together with the Readeat bookstore collected 340,000 hryvnias for the purchase of books for the libraries of the Mykolaiv region.

This was announced on the savED Facebook page.

The action started in September. In the first month of its operation, the bookstore converted every book sold into donations. Some of the shop's customers bought books for the school library of one of the de-occupied schools on their own.

1,120 books from top Ukrainian publishing houses were purchased for 340,000.

«Now 2,812 local boys and girls can explore the world together with colorful books from Readeat,» reported in savED.

The books were transferred to seven libraries of Mykolaiv educational institutions, in particular to two schools of the Bereznehuvate community, which were damaged during the full-scale war.

The books were also given to schools in the Snihurivka community — the main lyceum, which is currently being repaired after the enemy's arrival, and the Yuriivka gymnasium, which was looted by the Russian military.

Books were also given to Oleh Olzhych Lyceum and Gymnasium No. 54 in Mykolaiv. The facilities are located in the area of the city that suffered the most damage during the war.

We remind you that savED, with the support of partners, created a Digital Education Center and equipped a part of the shelter on the basis of the shelter at Lyceum No. 3 in Snihurivka in the Mykolaiv Region.

Also, with the participation of the foundation, students of five schools in the Mykolaiv region won a $5,000 grant as part of the UActive educational project.
