And this is how Mykolaiv looked like in the morning on 11 April — snowy and not at all spring-like. Unusual for April, the snowfall started at night and was accompanied by gusts of wind and sleet. Although the snow layer was not very thick, it covered sidewalks, roofs, lawns and trees, creating a contrast with the blossoming bushes and spring flower beds. Forecasters say the snowfall came along with the cyclone, which is gradually leaving the region. Agronomists warn that such frosts are stressful for trees that have already blossomed and a danger to early crops.
