Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, has revealed new details of the morning attack on the city on 3 May.

He spoke about this during a televised broadcast.

According to him, Russian troops struck a civilian enterprise, presumably believing that military equipment was stored there. In reality, the facility has no connection to military infrastructure.

«They targeted the facility, probably thinking something was stored there. In reality, it is a completely civilian facility… 17 houses nearby and one multi-storey building were also damaged. So I think they were aiming at the hangar — I don’t know why,» said Vitalii Kim.

As a result of the strike, 17 private houses and one block of flats were damaged. Among those injured were a security guard at the company and a man who was nearby.

In total, five people were injured — three men and two women.

«All are currently in a moderate condition — fractures and shrapnel wounds. They will be fine,» he added.

Vitalii Kim also noted that similar ballistic missile strikes on the city had not been recorded recently and suggested that the enemy may have been targeting outdated targets.

It should be recalled that five people were injured as a result of the Russian attack on Mykolaiv on 3 May. Seventeen private houses, one block of flats and several cars were damaged.
