The judicial authority in Ukraine is organized on principles of independence and a tiered structure, ensuring access to justice for every citizen. However, the system remains vulnerable to corruption, which affects public trust and undermines fairness in judicial decisions. The Ukrainian court system consists of local courts, appellate courts, and the Supreme Court, which serves as the highest judicial authority in the country. Local courts handle cases at the first level, appellate courts review decisions from lower courts, and the Supreme Court acts as the final instance for upholding legality and citizens' rights.
