The Higher Qualification Commission of Judges recommended re-appointment of the judge from the Arbuzynka district court

The Higher Qualification Commission of Judges (HQSJ) of Ukraine recommended Iryna Doharieva for appointment as a judge of the Arbuzynka district court of the Mykolaiv region after the inspection.

This is stated on the official website of the HQCJ.

As you know, in November 2023, the Higher Qualifications Commission, after a four-year break, resumed the evaluation of judges for their suitability for the position they hold. After the inspection, unscrupulous judges are promised to be fired, and fair ones will be able to continue working. 69 judges from the Mykolaiv region will be checked for suitability for the position they hold.

On Tuesday, January 16, five judges underwent a qualification assessment and were recognized by the commission as suitable for their position. Among them is Iryna Doharieva, judge of the Arbuzynka district court of the Mykolaiv region.

The last time the judge of the Arbuzynka district passed the inspection was on February 23, 2019. Since the five-year term of appointment to the post of judge has expired, it was decided to conduct an interview within the framework of the qualification assessment of the judge for the appropriateness of the position held.

«According to the results of the qualification assessment, the judge of the Arbuzynka district court of the Mykolaiv region, Iryna Doharieva scored 696 points, which is more than 69 percent of the maximum possible points according to the results of the qualification assessment of all criteria. Thus, the Commission came to the conclusion that the judge of the Arbuzynka district court of the Mykolaiv region, Iryna Dogaryeva, is suitable for the position she holds,» the decision of the Higher Qualification Commission of Judges.

A list of indicators was also approved, according to which the HQCJ will determine the non-compliance of a judge or a candidate for the position of judge with the criteria of integrity and professional ethics. Among the main points are the lack of sufficient information about the sources of the judge's property, doubts about the legality of receiving income, wealth of relatives, declarations, trips to Russia during the war, committing illegal actions or inappropriate decisions, as well as other points that indicate possible violations of professional ethics.

The Public Integrity Council will join the interviews, which will facilitate the verification of judges for compliance with such criteria as professional ethics and integrity. All interviews will be broadcast live on the commission's official YouTube page.
