Kamikaze drone

Shaheds, known in Russia as "Geran," are Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that Russia actively uses to strike Ukrainian territory. These kamikaze drones are equipped with explosives and designed to destroy infrastructure and cause maximum damage. They often target energy facilities, administrative buildings, and other critical sites.

Features:

  • Weapon type: Kamikaze drones designed to target vulnerable objects and self-destruct upon impact.
  • Capabilities: They can travel long distances and strike targets without direct operator control.
  • Mass attacks: Frequently launched in large numbers to overwhelm air defense systems and breach protective barriers.

How to protect yourself:

  • Listen to air raid alerts: Shahed drones often attack at night or during large-scale assaults, so do not ignore air raid signals.
  • Use shelters: During potential strikes, it's best to take cover in a protected area away from windows and light structures.
  • Monitor the situation: Stay informed with news updates and guidance from civil protection services to react quickly to threats.

Kamikaze drone attacks are one of the tactics Russia uses to destabilize civilian life in Ukraine, but timely responses and adherence to safety protocols can save lives.
