During October, the Russian army used 2,023 Shahed-type attack UAVs and drones of an unspecified type on civilian and military facilities in Ukraine.

As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 1,185 of them were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders, 738 drones were lost in location, and another 29 UAVs left the airspace of Ukraine.

In total, since the beginning of 2024, Russian troops have launched 6,987 attack UAVs on the territory of Ukraine. Drones were mainly aimed at civilian and critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
