Russian troops are changing their tactics of drone attacks on Mykolaiv, deliberately targeting public facilities to cause a stir among the population.

This was stated during a telethon by Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

As is known, on 7 March, Russian troops attacked an emergency medical brigade vehicle in the Kutsurub community of the Mykolaiv region with an FPV drone. According to Vitalii Kim, the Russian military deliberately chooses targets that are public in nature.

«I would say that they are changing their tactics. A certain percentage of drones are now deliberately directed at public targets. There is no point in hitting an ambulance, and this is clearly visible to the operator who is striking the blow. This is pure terrorism and a violation of all norms,» he said.

In addition, according to the head of the region, the Russians have begun to use drones more often during the day, controlling them via video link.

«We are seeing changes in terms of Russian attacks because they are being used during the day and with the help of video communication. Because of this, they are flying through our defence lines, because we usually shot them down years ago before they flew into the city. Now, some of them have to work over the city. People see this, and it worries them,» explained Vitalii Kim.

At the same time, he noted that at the state level, measures to protect frontline cities are currently being strengthened, but the details are not being disclosed.

«I can't talk about the measures in detail, but they are in place. There is a presidential directive on the protection of frontline cities, and this protection is being rapidly strengthened. I can't give any details, but this plan exists and is being implemented,» added the head of the region.
