Almost ₴7 million to be spent in Odesa to repair enclosures for stray animals

This year, Odesa plans to overhaul the cages for stray animals at the municipal enterprise «Municipal Centre for Environmental Safety».

As reported during a meeting of the city council's standing committee on emergencies and elimination of their consequences, ecology and digital transformation, 6 million 850 thousand hryvnias is provided for the work.

It is noted that in 2024, project documentation for the overhaul of the enclosures was developed. The funds will be spent exclusively on the repair and arrangement of enclosures, as well as on the purchase of necessary equipment. This amount does not include the repair of administrative premises or management offices.

Last December, Odesa City Hall investigated why animals were dying in the local zoo under strange circumstances.
