The Department of Education in Mykolaiv is conducting an inspection due to inflated prices for the purchase of refrigerators

After the discovery of an attempt to inflate prices for the purchase of refrigerators for educational institutions, Mykolaiv City Hall is conducting an investigation. Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych expects that appropriate disciplinary sanctions will be taken based on his results.

He stated this at the press conference, he emphasized that the investigation will be failed and the culprits will be brought to justice, writes NikVesti.

We will remind you that the publication «Slidstvo.Info» analyzed the purchases of refrigerators for kindergartens and schools of the city by the Department of Education and announced an attempt to overestimate the cost of the equipment by almost two times. After talking with journalists, the customer concluded a new agreement and reduced the expected cost of the equipment. Thus, the City Council managed to avoid an overpayment of 764,000 hryvnias.

According to the mayor, after the journalists' appeal, the city council's internal financial control department checked the purchase and found a number of problems in it, which were corrected before the settlement with the contractor.

The mayor expects that the person responsible for this purchase will be subject to disciplinary punishment.

«In this regard, an official inspection of this person, who made the purchase, has been scheduled. As I understand it, based on the results of the investigation, we will apply disciplinary action to these people,» Oleksandr Sienkevych said.

It should be noted that the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych asked journalists to carefully analyze purchases made by the structural subdivisions of the city council.
