Reuters: China is building new nuclear submarines using Russian technology

China has begun the creation of a new generation of nuclear submarines, which could become a problem for the US and its allies due to the difficulty of tracking them.

According to analysts and military attachés, there is growing evidence that Beijing could put its own Type 096 ballistic missile submarine into service by the end of this decade, created in part thanks to Russian technology.

According to the study, these boats will be much more difficult to monitor.

«Type 096 will be a real terror. They will be very, very difficult to detect,» — said retired submariner and naval intelligence analyst Christopher Carlson.

As noted, the new submarine will not be inferior to the most modern Russian submarines in terms of stealth, sensors and available weapons.

At the same time, the technology transferred to the Russian Federation helped the new Chinese development achieve inconspicuousness and a low level of noise, writes Reuters.

As reported, China does not want an open military defeat of the Russians in the war against Ukraine, but at the same time the Chinese officially support the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
