Zelenskyy: Two Chinese citizens who fought for Russia captured in Donetsk region

In Donetsk region, the Ukrainian military captured two Chinese citizens who fought in the Russian army.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, the special services have documents, bank cards and personal data of these foreign servicemen.

«We have information that there are much more than two such Chinese citizens in the occupier's units. I have instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to immediately contact Beijing and find out how China is going to respond to this», Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to him, intelligence experts, the Security Service of Ukraine and relevant units of the Armed Forces are currently working with them. Investigations are ongoing, and the captured Chinese citizens are being held by the Security Service.

«Russia's involvement of China in this war in Europe, directly or indirectly, is a clear signal that Putin is going to do anything but end the war. He is looking for ways to continue fighting. This definitely requires a reaction. The reaction of the United States, Europe and everyone in the world who wants peace», the President said.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian Defence Forces had captured eight Russian soldiers in the Kursk region.
