Kim about Arestovych: «The guy lost his way»

The head of the Mykolaiv regional administration, Vitaly Kim, believes that the former adviser to the Office of the President Oleksii Arestovych, who at the beginning of the great war focused a lot of attention of Ukrainians on himself thanks to his «calming» speeches, and now criticizes the military situation in the country and the prospects for its end on live broadcasts hostilities, «lost his way».

He expressed this opinion in an interview with « Hromadske».

Vitaly Kim admitted that in 2022 he had only one telephone conversation with Oleksii Arestovych. According to him, Oleksii Arestovych enjoyed his public activities and could not stop in time, trying to keep the audience. Currently, the head of Mykolayiv OVA does not follow the activities of Oleksii Arestovych, but believes that he has «lost his way», but does not know for what reason.

«I spoke with him once on the phone. He had an idea to congratulate women together on March 8. It was 2022. I said that it was inappropriate and that it was not until March 8th at all. This is all my interaction with Oleksii. My subjective opinion: he gets pleasure from what he «predicts». And he could not stop - he began to move further and further to hold the audience. I don't follow him now. I only see that the boy has lost his way. I don't know whether it's for money or it's personal,» says Vitalii Kim.

Responding to a journalist's question about his smaller presence in the media space, Kim noted that it was a logical step. He explained that his speeches and presence in the media were aimed at opposing the Russian IPSO, and when the system began to work at the national level, he decided to take a back seat to focus on other important matters.

«This is a purely logical step. Both my speeches and presence in the media space were connected with the need to oppose the Russian IPSO. That is, I understood exactly what I was doing. When it was already working systematically throughout the country, I decided that I shouldn't be there, because everything works like that. I have a lot of other work. Well, I just couldn't physically continue it,» explained Vitalii Kim.

As you know, Oleksii Arestovych is a Ukrainian military and political analyst, blogger and former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine. Recently, he has focused on commenting and analyzing military actions in Ukraine, the geopolitical situation, as well as internal Ukrainian political issues.

In particular, Oleksii Arestovych expressed the opinion that Ukraine may lose even more territory and population due to a protracted war, predicting that in the event of a loss, they will look for culprits among the country's leadership​.

In addition, he called to «stop the senseless slaughter» due to the fact that the war has reached an impasse at the strategic level, because neither Ukraine nor the Russian Federation «have the strength to radically change the situation». This caused a wave of indignation in society, as many believe this is a treacherous position during the active phase of the war.

Oleksii Arestovych also spoke about the mobilization. In his opinion, mobilization destroys the economy of Ukraine, because many people leave the country, avoiding military service.
