The Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, has stated that during his entire time in office, neither he nor any members of his family or close associates have acquired ownership of any temporary structures.
He made this statement during a meeting of the city council’s executive committee today, 22 July, according to NikVesti.
«I can state that today, at the time of this executive committee meeting, throughout my entire tenure as mayor, neither I, nor my relatives, nor my close associates, nor anyone connected to me in any way, have acquired any temporary structures,» said Oleksandr Sienkevych.
It should be recalled that the owners of the «Soborna» public transport stop complex promised to dismantle the illegally erected fence themselves over the weekend.
The so-called «canopy» was dismantled in September 2023. At that time, the entire structure was completely removed — the shelter, the centre of which business owners had effectively turned into a summer terrace, and the fence. By the end of June 2026, the fence had reappeared on the site. It is not known exactly when it was erected or who was responsible.
Chief Architect Yevhen Poliakov stated that no permission had been granted for its installation. At the same time, the official promised to contact the competent authority, which will verify the facts and carry out the dismantling.
In total, 55 illegally erected kiosks and other temporary structures have been removed in Mykolaiv since the start of 2026. These structures are dealt with by the city’s Department of Architecture and the municipal enterprise «Mykolaiv Parks».
