Celebration of Cossack Day in Mykolaiv on October 1. Photo NikVestiOn Tuesday, October 1, Ukraine celebrated the Day of Cossacks and the Day of Defenders. In honor of this, a Cossack-themed celebration was held in Peremogy Park in Mykolaiv.
This was reported by the correspondent NikVesti.
Mykolaiv artists performed on the city beach Strilka from 12 noon until night. Visitors could take part in various activities: archery, Cossack games, fighting with axes and knives. The event guests also had the opportunity to try the dishes of field cuisine.

Photo NikVestiWorkshops on weaving bracelets for the production of other thematic products, aqua painting and a rope park were organized for children. Visitors were also treated to a fair, an exhibition of folk art, and a demonstration regatta by pupils of the «Regional Yacht Club».
After sunset, those present lit a bonfire around which they danced until nightfall.
