The Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in the Mykolaiv region is seeking a contractor for the major repair of a section of the H-24 «Blahovishchenske — Mykolaiv» national road, which runs through Voznesensk.

The section in question is 12 kilometres long, NikVesti reports, citing data from the Prozorro electronic public procurement system.

The estimated cost of the contract is 2 billion 66 million hryvnias.

The recipient of donations is the NGO “Mykolaiv Media Hub” (EDRPOU 45160758). According to the tender documentation, the contractor is to carry out a comprehensive programme of works to overhaul the road. In particular, the works include a complete resurfacing of the road, repairs to bridge structures and drainage systems, the improvement of verges, the installation of new road signs and safety barriers, the application of road markings, as well as other works necessary to bring the section up to standard.

The repairs are scheduled to be completed by 20 December 2029.

Funding is to be provided from the state budget. Of the total project cost of 310.63 million hryvnias, it is planned to finance the work through the Ukraine Facility programme, which is funded by the European Union via the state budget for the implementation of public investment projects.

It should be noted that the Mykolaiv Regional Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service plans to repair 1.28 kilometres of road to Ochakiv, at a cost of 44.1 million hryvnias.

At the same time, the Infrastructure Restoration Service rejected Mykolaiv’s verbal request to repair the road at the entrance to the Matviivka neighbourhood, which is in a state of disrepair.

Following this, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych announced that the city council would submit a formal request to the Restoration Service asking for the road to be repaired.
