Strike on hotel in Kryvyi Rih: four people killed

In Kryvyi Rih, the number of casualties increased to four as a result of a Russian ballistic missile strike on a hotel.

This was reported by the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, and the State Emergency Service.

Initially, three people were reported killed in the attack on the hotel. However, at 8:55 a.m., Oleksandr Vilkul informed that another man had died in hospital. Thus, the number of victims increased to four.

According to him, in the first hours, 18 people were rescued from the rubble. The fire has been extinguished and the search and rescue operation continues.

Thirty-one people were injured, including a 13-year-old girl. Currently, 28 people are in hospitals, three of them are in extremely serious condition and 11 are in serious condition. Doctors are fighting for their lives and providing all necessary assistance.

«According to preliminary information, in addition to the hotel, 14 apartment buildings, 2 schools, 2 kindergartens, a cultural institution, a post office, business facilities were damaged,» Oleksandr Vilkul said.

Friday, 7 March, was declared a day of mourning in Kryvyi Rih for the victims of the enemy attack.
