Last night, during a massive shelling of Ukraine, Russian troops damaged the Government building for the first time.

This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.

The shelling destroyed the roof and upper floors, and rescuers are working to extinguish the fire.

«That night, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine. Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, Kremenchuk and Odesa came under fire. For the first time, the Government building, its roof and upper floors were damaged in an enemy attack. Rescuers are extinguishing the fire. I thank them for their work. We will restore the buildings. But the lives lost cannot be returned. The enemy is terrorising and killing our people across the country every day,» she said.
