Consequently, the total tariff for the package of water supply and sewerage services will amount to 65.54 hryvnias per 1 m³ including VAT (or 54.62 hryvnias excluding VAT).

It is worth noting that initially, «Infoksvodokanal» submitted calculations proposing to set the tariff at almost three times the current rate — at 93.66 hryvnias per cubic metre. Following audits and optimisation measures, the city authorities first managed to reduce this figure to 82.90 hryvnia, and in the final draft, to set the rate for consumers at 65.54 hryvnias per m³.

Water tariff in Mykolaiv

The water supply tariff for the general public will remain unchanged until the end of 2026, assured Hennadii Iziumov, director of the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivvodokanal».

However, this year in Mykolaiv, the tariff for centralised water supply and sewerage services for businesses has been increased.

Following the launch of new treatment facilities, it emerged that the water tariff for Mykolaiv could reach up to 100 hryvnias per cubic metre. However, during the period of martial law, it is prohibited to increase the tariff for the general public, said Vitalii Kim, the then head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration. He also stated that he would do everything possible to ensure that the tariff for centralised water supply for Mykolaiv residents did not rise.

Subsequently, the city’s mayor, Oleksandr Sienkevych, announced that the city had begun paying for water from the new water main based on actual consumption — as recorded by the meter. According to him, this could influence the setting of tariffs for consumers in the future.

Oleksandr Sienkevych also noted that the current water tariff for the public does not cover the operating costs of the «Mykolaivvodokanal» municipal enterprise and prevents the organisation from functioning fully and developing.
