Air defence destroys nine Shahed drones in Mykolaiv region: debris damages houses

On the night of 23 January, air defence forces destroyed nine Shahed 131/136 drones in Mykolaiv region.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

As a result of the downing in Pervomaiskyi district, the wreckage fell on a household plot. In addition, the blast wave damaged the windows of two private houses.

Also on 22 January, at 14:54 and 18:03, Russians attacked Ochakiv with FPV drones. There were no civilian casualties.

Attack by Shahed drones on Mykolaiv on 21 January

Mykolaiv residents heard the first three explosions around 22:50. Later it became known that the Russian army attacked Mykolaiv with seven drones. Damage was reported in different parts of the city as a result of the shelling.

The authorities reported that two people were injured in the shelling. Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that seven Shahed hit in Mykolaiv and nine more were shot down.

As of the morning of 22 January, it became known that the shelling had also damaged the utility company «Mykolaivelectrotrans».

The JMA reported that on the night of 22 January , air defence destroyed nine Shahed 131/136 UAVs in Mykolaiv region.

The police showed the consequences of the Russian attack on Mykolaiv. The shelling damaged residential buildings, infrastructure and non-residential premises.

According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region, the attic floor of an apartment building was partially destroyed, and a fire broke out on the sixth floor over an area of 100 square metres. The blast wave damaged windows in four multi-storey buildings, a private house and the door of a family outpatient clinic.

In addition, some residents of residential buildings were left without heat, electricity and gas.
