Three cars collide in Mykolaiv region: driver died, some injured

On the night of 25 July, VAZ-21099, VAZ-2101 and KrAZ trucks collided on the T-15-08 «Mykolaiv-Kalynivka-Snihurivka» road near the village of Partyzanske.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Mykolaiv region.

According to police, a 53-year-old driver of VAZ-21099 drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a KrAZ truck. The impact threw the car back into its own lane, where it also crashed into VAZ-2101.

The driver of VAZ-21099 died on the spot as a result of the accident. The driver of the truck was hospitalised with serious injuries, and his condition is assessed as serious. The driver and passenger of VAZ-2101 sustained minor injuries and refused hospitalisation.

Investigators have classified the incident under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine «Violation of traffic safety rules that caused the victim's death».

Law enforcement officers are currently establishing all the circumstances of the accident, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

On 25 July, at approximately 05:30, a Renault Trafic moving towards Odesa crashed into a parked Renault Magnum truck on the M-05 «Kyiv-Odesa» motorway near the village of Mazurovove, Pervomaiskyi district.
