The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 500 million hryvnias to cover the cost of utilities in medical facilities in seven affected regions. These include Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. And also for Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a number of decisions to support communities.
In particular, 1.5 billion hryvnias in subsidies were allocated to the regions that need financial assistance the most. Another almost one billion hryvnias will be allocated to communities with limited revenues from personal income tax, land tax and single tax. This will help ensure an adequate level of services for the population even in difficult conditions.
The government also decided to extend the supply of natural gas under the public service obligation regime for district heating companies until 31 October 2025.
«This means that the preferential gas prices for heat producers for the needs of the population and budgetary institutions will be maintained. At the end of March, the Government also extended preferential gas prices for households. Accordingly, tariffs for heat, hot water and gas will remain unchanged. Subsidies for the off-heating season will be reassigned automatically to the vast majority of those who are currently receiving them,» said Denys Shmyhal.
Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 50 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of the hospital for war veterans in Mykolaiv.
