American actor and screenwriter Mickey Rourke called on fans to help the Kherson people affected by Russia. He announced the collection of one million dollars for the charity organization One World Aid Alliance, the co-founder of which is the assistant and good friend of the star from Mykolaiv Dmytro Korniychuk.
Mickey Rourke has been working with the Ukrainian for 10 years, bequeathed all his fortune to him and even declared that he wants to be buried in Ukraine, where his best friend grew up, the 71-year-old artist wrote on Instagram.
«I want to wish a happy new year to everyone in Ukraine. I know you are going through a lot of very difficult things. The assistant I have been working with for 10 years is Dima, he is from Ukraine, and I love him very much. He has 12 family members in Ukraine... My message is for all people in Ukraine and it has nothing to do with political bullshit. Everything we try to do is to help people,» said Mickey Rourke.
The million dollars, which the charity fund of the Ukrainian and the actor are trying to collect, will be directed to help with housing for the people of Kherson, who were left without a roof over their heads due to Russian terrorism.
