Climate change refers to long-term alterations in global or local climate conditions caused by both natural processes and human activity. Key manifestations of climate change include rising average temperatures, extreme weather events, sea level rise, droughts, and floods.

In the Mykolaiv region, climate change has significant impacts: rising temperatures lead to droughts affecting agriculture, the risk of coastal flooding increases due to the rising level of the Black Sea, and the frequency of extreme weather events, such as severe storms, is growing.
