The Armed Forces destroyed almost 70 Russian artillery systems in a day

Over the past day, August 6, the Russian army lost another 1,230 people killed and wounded in Ukraine. In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russians have lost approximately 586,370 of their troops.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the Russians are losing their military equipment and weapons. In particular:

  • tanks — 8,429 ( +8 over the past day);
  • armored combat vehicles — 16,323 ( +29);
  • artillery systems — 16,451 ( +67 );
  • rocket salvo fire systems — 1,138;
  • air defense means — 910;
  • airplanes — 365;
  • helicopters — 326;
  • UAVs of the operational-tactical level — 13,212 ( +54 );
  • cruise missiles — 2,421 ( +1);
  • ships/boats — 28;
  • submarines — 1;
  • automotive equipment and tank trucks — 22,226 ( +78 );
  • special equipment — 2,759 (+21).

These data are not final and are still being refined. The General Staff explained that the casualty summaries indicated the number of dead occupants together with the wounded.

We will remind, on the night of August 7 , in the sky over the Mykolaiv region, Air Defense Forces shot down 14 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles of the «Shahed 131/136» type.

Also, on Tuesday, August 6, the Russian military shelled 9 settlements in the Kherson region. As a result of the attack, one person died, 15 more civilians were injured.
