In the Zavodskyi district, four illegally installed trading kiosks are to be dismantled, whilst in the Central district, two entrepreneurs have been granted permission to set up summer terraces with chairs and tables.

This decision was adopted today, 8 April, at a meeting of the executive committee, according to NikVesti.

Yevhen Polyakov, Director of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning and Chief Architect of Mykolaiv, stated that the decision concerns the dismantling of temporary structures in the Zavodskyi district that lack the necessary permits for their installation.

«Warning letters have been sent to the owners we have managed to identify. They have not been complied with. I ask for your support in clearing these locations, as all these structures are cluttered and look derelict. This is unsanitary and constitutes an occupation of public space,» noted Yevhen Poliakov.

These include retail kiosks located near residential building №11 on Ozerna Street, at 8-B Vodoprovidna Street, at 8-A Kyivska Street, as well as a «temporary structure» bearing the inscription «DPD» at 38-B Yevhenii Lohinov Street.

Furthermore, as the chief architect explained, the executive committee has granted two permits for the installation of summer terraces in the city centre.

«These are easements for summer terraces: exclusively tables and chairs, which are intended for catering establishments in the vicinity. They do this anyway. In fact, we are organising this work so that it looks neat and tidy and so that money is paid into the city budget for it,» assured Yevhen Poliakov.

Permits to set up summer terraces were granted to sole trader Denys Didenko at 17/2 Mark Kropyvnytskyi Street (18 sq m) and sole trader Iryna Ihorivna Kryvenko at 17 Oleksii Vadaturskyi Street, on the corner of Pavlo Skoropadskyi Street (40 sq m). The entrepreneurs must sign an agreement and pay for the use of the land.

As a reminder, the administration of the Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv reported on the dismantling of a garage near a high-rise building. The owner removed the garage himself.

It was also reported that over 900 advertising structures have been dismantled in Mykolaiv since the start of the year. However, hundreds more remain to be dealt with.
