The Department of Housing and Communal Services has announced a tender for the major repair of the pavement on Arkasivska Street (Pushkinska Street) at the junction with Andrii Pokrovskyi Street (Navarynska Street) in Mykolaiv. The estimated cost of the works is 3.4 million hryvnias.
This is stated on the Prozorro public procurement platform.
The tender was announced on 16 July. Applications from contractors are being accepted until 31 July.
It is noted that 4.1 million hryvnias have been allocated from the local budget, which exceeds the estimated cost of the works.
The works are to be commissioned on 30 October 2026.
It is specified that the pavement is to be repaired, including the refurbishment of the retaining wall. The technical specifications also provide for the pruning of three trees, the removal of nine bushes and the uprooting of three stumps. Contractors are also required to dismantle five street lamps and electricity poles and install seven street lamps fitted with incandescent bulbs.
The scope of works includes the removal of 118 metres of kerbstones and the installation of new ones, the laying of paving slabs over an area of 474 square metres, the replacement of a storm drain and cast-iron manhole covers, and the installation of five road signs.
As a reminder, NikVesti reported that deep potholes had formed at the entrance to Matviivka, and the damaged road surface had effectively turned the road into an obstacle course.
On 6 July, during a staff meeting, the head of the Central District Administration, Oleksandr Bereza, appealed to the mayor to intervene in the situation due to numerous complaints from Matviivka residents. At the time, Oleksandr Sienkevych stated that the road was not the city’s responsibility, whilst the regional Road Maintenance Service, in response to a verbal enquiry, reported a lack of funds. The mayor instructed that an official letter regarding the road repairs be drafted.
On 16 July, it emerged that patch repairs had begun on the road leading to the Matviivka neighbourhood.
