Pivdennoukrainsk expects to receive 34 million hryvnias from international partners for the construction of a modular town for temporary accommodation of displaced persons.
This is stated in the draft Programme for the Socio-Economic Development of the Pivdennoukrainsk City Territorial Community for 2026–2027, according to NikVesti.
The city authorities expect to receive these funds in 2027. The Construction and Repair Department of the Pivdennoukrainsk City Council has been designated as responsible for the implementation of the project.
It should be recalled that at the end of October 2024, the construction of modular houses for displaced persons began in Pivdennoukrainsk. It later became known that the city needed at least 2 million hryvnias to implement this project.
Each of the houses is equipped with centralised water supply and drainage systems, electricity, and electric convector heating, according to the city council. Inside, there is all the necessary furniture, plumbing, and household appliances to ensure that displaced persons can live comfortably immediately after moving in.
In April 2025, nine families of internally displaced persons moved into such houses. They were settled in houses built with the financial support of the Swiss Association for Aid to Ukrainians «Help Ukraine».
At the same time, Pivdennoukrainsk continues to receive modular houses, the last two from Swiss philanthropists. The cost of such houses is 2.2 million hryvnias.
