Two teams of specialists from the Mykolaivoblteploenergo company returned to Mykolaiv after 10 days of work on restoring heat supply to residential buildings in Kyiv that had been damaged by shelling.
This was reported by Mykola Lohvinov, director of OKP Mykolaivoblteploenergo, in a comment to NikVesti.
According to him, the teams' task was to restore heat to residential buildings in the capital. They returned after completing their assignment.
«They worked there for 10 days. The main task of the teams was to restore heat to the buildings. These were large 18-storey buildings. First, they defrosted the basements, and then they fully restored the heating networks. They returned home because their assignment period had ended. No one else contacted us to continue the work or send other teams,» said Mykola Lohvinov.
The Mykolaiv City Council also reported that residents of a building on Ihor Shamo Boulevard in Kyiv thanked the employees of OKP Mykolaivoblteploenergo for restoring the heat supply.
«It was an 18-storey building. It is experimental. There were a lot of problems with it,» added Mykola Lohvinov.
We will remind you that due to Russian shelling in Kyiv, almost 2,000 high-rise buildings were left without heat. Due to the lack of heat and light in homes in some areas, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, on behalf of the government, prepared 41 field kitchens for operation.
Therefore, two teams of Mykolaiv utility workers from Mykolaivoblteploenergo helped the capital restore heat supply after Russian shelling.
Later, Mykola Lohvinov said that the utility workers worked in extremely difficult conditions, sometimes 10-14 hours a day.
