The repair of the networks of Mykolaiv CHP, which lasted almost four months, is expected to be completed by 15 October.
This was reported by the director of the Mykolaiv Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP), Dmytro Miroshnychenko, in a commentary to NikVesti.
Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said that this year the largest amount of renovation is taking place on the networks of the Mykolaiv CHP. The work is funded by «Naftogaz». According to the mayor, for the first time in 50 years, new pipes have been completely laid on Mariupolskaya Street, and part of the networks on Pohranychna Street is already being filled with water and pressure tested.
The head of the CHPP, Dmytro Miroshnychenko, said that the company has abandoned «patching» repairs and is now replacing pipelines in large sections.
«All work on Mariupolska (Moskovska) and Pavlo Skoropadskyi (Admiral Makarov) streets is on schedule. We expect to complete them by 15 October. After that, we will restore the road surface,» said Dmitry Miroshnychenko.
As a reminder, due to the repair of heating networks, traffic on Mariupolska Street between Pavlo Skoropadskyi and Marko Kropyvnytskyi Streets has been restricted since 26 June.
As you know, in 2023, Mykolaiv CHPP already partially repaired another section on the same street. Then about 300 metres of the heating network were replaced.
According to Dmytro Miroshnychenko, due to constant accidents, the section on Mariupolska «was patched» every year. The work was promised to be completed before the start of the heating season, and it was then that they began to switch to major upgrades of networks with pipes designed for decades of operation.
As a reminder, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration noted that the start of the heating season in Mykolaiv is to be postponed and the heating will be launched later. This is explained as a cost-saving measure.
Vitalii Kim also said that Mykolaiv would not be able to complete the project to build block-modular boiler houses, for which the government has allocated 1.1 billion hryvnias, before the start of the heating season.
