Kim: Mykolaiv region is 93% ready for the heating season, the main challenge is the project of block-modular boiler houses

Mykolaiv region is 93% ready for the new heating season. However, the main challenge remains the completion of the project for modular boiler houses.

This was announced by Vitalii Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, on the air of «News.LIVE».

According to him, preparatory work is going even faster than planned.

«We are going a little bit faster according to the plan, we have 93% readiness, if we take it in dry numbers, but there are 30 different numbers, so it will not be interesting,» he said.

At the same time, the main challenge remains the completion of the project to build block-modular boiler houses, for which the government has allocated 1.1 billion hryvnias.

«The main challenge for us now is to complete the project to diversify the heating of the city of Mykolaiv, for which the government has allocated funds, 1.1 billion for block-modular boiler houses, so that there is backup heating in case of damage to the CHP,» the head of the RMA stressed.

Kim is confident that Russians will try to attack the infrastructure of Mykolaiv region this season. However, he said, electricity and gas facilities are protected, as the region has been in preparation since 2022.

«That's why we didn't stop. We understand that this is the main problem for our region, namely infrastructure and the passage of the heating season. There are government programmes for firewood and so on. We are working on all this because we have three years of experience there. So we are doing well in this regard. The main challenge is block-modular,» summed up Vitalii Kim.
