Reconstruction Service to spend ₴4.6 million to maintain WIM truck weighing systems in Mykolaiv region

It is planned to spend 4.6 million hryvnias on the maintenance of WIM weighing systems on the roads of Mykolaiv region.

This is according to the Prozorro e-procurement system, according to NikVesti.

The customer of the works is the Service for Infrastructure Restoration and Development in Mykolaiv Oblast.

The recipient of donations is the NGO “Mykolaiv Media Hub” (EDRPOU 45160758). According to the tender documents, the contractor will have to maintain four motorways in the region until 31 December 2025:

• H-24 Blahovishchenske — Mykolaiv (through Voznesensk);
• M-14 Odesa — Melitopol — Novoazovsk;
• H-11 Dnipro — Mykolaiv (through Kryvyi Rih);
• H-14 Oleksandrivka — Kropyvnytskyi — Mykolaiv.

In particular, the contractor must provide Internet access at the WIM checkpoints, video surveillance and centralised security, monthly maintenance of the checkpoint equipment, monitoring of their operation, grinding of the weight sensors of the automatic checkpoints, etc.

Currently, the Regional Reconstruction Service is waiting for the signing of a contract for these services with Poltava-based company «Engineering K», which was the only one to participate in the tender.

According to the YouControl analytical system, «Tekhinehirinhing K» has been operating for almost 6 years. The company's core business is the repair and maintenance of electronic and optical equipment.

«Techengineering K» receives tenders for road repairs and maintenance of WIM weighing stations from road services in different regions of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the year, the company has received contracts for works worth 3.1 million hryvnias.

As a reminder, in January 2025, a weigh-in-motion (WIM) system was launched at the entrance to Mykolaiv. It automatically monitors the weight of trucks travelling on the road without stopping the vehicle.
