Mayor Sienkevych earns less than the chief landscaper of Mykolaiv

The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, received 946,000 hryvnias in salary in 2024, which is more than 150,000 hryvnias less than the salary of the director of the municipal enterprise «Mykolaiv Parks».

This is stated in the mayor's declaration published in the Unified State Register, according to NikVesti.

As you know, Dmytro Chuchmai, director of the municipal enterprise «Mykolaiv Parks», indicated in his annual declaration more than 1.1 million hryvnias in income for 2024. On average, this is more than 90 thousand hryvnias per month. While the average salary of the mayor is 79 thousand hryvnias.

Real estate and land plots of the mayor

Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych owns two land plots with a total area of two thousand square metres and a total value of ₴171.9 thousand, as well as two apartments in Mykolaiv, which were purchased in 2007 and 2008, with an area of 54.5 and 69.9 square metres.

The mayor also declared that since 2019 he has been renting a house with his wife and children, with an area of 271.5 square metres.

His wife Kateryna owns a land plot of 2,622 square metres and a building complex of 261.2 square metres in occupied Nova Kakhovka. In Nova Kakhovka, the mayor's wife also shares a 66-square-metre apartment with her parents.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion in August 2022, his wife and children have been living in Poland. Since 2024, they have been renting a 112 square metre apartment there. The rent for 5 months cost the official's family 485.4 thousand hryvnias, or about 97 thousand hryvnias per month.

Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych does not own or rent a car, but his wife has been renting a 2018 VOLVO XC90 from a private company «Leda» for seven years since 2019. The founder of this company is Iryna Olennikova, with whom Kateryna Sienkevych jointly owns an apartment in occupied Nova Kakhovka.

Income and savings

In 2024, the main income of the mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych was his salary — ₴946.1 thousand (an average of ₴78.8 thousand per month). He also indicated in his declaration a gift from the Trade Union Organisation of Executive Bodies of Mykolaiv City Council — ₴4.5 thousand.

At the same time, his wife received over ₴6 million in income last year: ₴4.7 million from entrepreneurial activity, ₴135.7 thousand in salary from the company «FFW Mykolaiv» and ₴1.7 million from the Polish company Legal.IN.

Since 2015, the mayor's wife has owned 39% of corporate rights in the companies: LLC «FFW Mykolaiv» and LLC «Blink Research International», which are registered in Ukraine.

And in 2024, Kateryna Sienkevych increased her corporate rights in the Polish company «Czarne Mogi LLSi» from 25% to 40%.

At the same time, over the past three years, the mayor's wife has acquired cryptocurrencies totalling UAH 28.3 thousand. Among them: Bitcoin, Ethereum, SOL, BAL, FTM and DOT.

The mayor's family keeps 93.9 thousand hryvnias, 12.2 thousand dollars and 7 thousand euros in bank accounts, including those abroad. In addition, Kateryna Sienkevych keeps 10 thousand zlotys in two Polish banks, which is 108 thousand hryvnias in hryvnia equivalent. The couple has $75,000 in cash savings.

As a reminder, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, has filed his annual declaration. During the year, his family increased its monetary assets, and a new source of income appeared — the sale of cryptocurrency.
