Deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council will appeal to the Mykolaiv City Council with a request to exempt regional municipal hospitals located in the city from land tax.

The relevant draft decision is to be considered by the deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council at a session meeting.

The document states that the war and reduced funding from the National Health Service of Ukraine have affected the financial capacity of regional healthcare institutions.

Recall that in September, Mykolaiv reduced the rental rate from 3% to 1% for communal land for developers and entrepreneurs who suffered from the war.

Before that, in May 2024, the editorial office of NikVesti was contacted by Mykolaiv entrepreneurs who asked the authorities to review tax rates and reduce the rent for land use by 50% to enable commercial activities. In addition, the deputies were also asked to reduce the rent for land used by the Ministry of Defense.

In June, members of the City Council's Legality Commission supported this initiative. The Finance Department was instructed to prepare amendments to the existing draft decision on determining the size of land rental rates and to make changes to replace 3% with 1% for land under current construction.
