The editor-in-chief of the Kherson publication «Kavun.City» Yevheniia Virlych told about this on the Espreso broadcast.
She noted that enemy drones have been flying wildly over Kherson in recent weeks. Residents of the city even ask to spread information about this and how to behave.
«Because Russian drones with explosives fly to the center and fly further. And they literally organize a hunt for people, so it's very, very dangerous, and it's just become critical. So much so that this buzzing is becoming a regular part of life,» the journalist said.
In particular, she shared tips on how to behave in case of detection of a Russian drone. The most important thing is to hide.
«If you hear or see a drone — we hide in the nearest shelter or the nearest place that can be perceived as a shelter. In no case should you threaten the drone, heroically throw something at the drone. All cases are singularly heroic, most of them all end very tragically,» noted Yevheniia Virlych.
She added that it is important to listen very carefully to see if the drone is flying. That is why Kherson people almost never wear headphones or other switched-on gadgets.
«They can fly both high and low. There is no such concept: «A drone will not reach me.» There is no such thing in Kherson at the moment, on the right bank I would generally be very careful about it,» the journalist stressed.
According to her, staying in one place in an open area in Kherson for just five minutes is already considered a long time.
«In general, it is better to avoid open areas, walk under fences, under buildings and clearly plan your route. Maybe tell trusted people where you are so they know where to look for you, just in case. But in no case do not show heroism about Russian drones. They heard, they saw — they hid,» Yevheniia Virlych said.
It was previously reported that on July 25, Russian troops dropped explosives on a man from a drone in the village of Sadove in the Kherson region. He suffered a blast injury, a contusion and a shrapnel wound to his forearm.
On August 3, in Antonivka, in the Kherson region, the Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on women who were in the yard. As a result, the 50-year-old victim suffered explosive and craniocerebral injuries and a contusion, and another 74-year-old woman sustained a hip injury.
