It is planned to produce building materials from debris from demolitions in Mykolaiv Oblast

In the Shevchenkove community of the Mykolaiv region, they plan to build a plant for processing construction waste from destroyed objects and reuse them for reconstruction.

This is stated in the article NikVesti — «Waste reform on the way to the EU: how Mykolaiv Oblast learns to deal with waste according to new standards».

The Shevchenkove community is one of those most affected by enemy shelling on the territory of the Mykolaiv region. Community leader Oleh Pylypenko says that there are two locations offered to investors for the construction of the plant. Now the community is dealing with the issues of changing the purpose of the land and hopes that the security situation will make it possible to implement the plan.

«Land plots are in the process of being repurposed for industry. A detailed plan of the territories of these areas will also be developed and measures will be taken to connect communications: electricity and water supply. We want to complete part of our work by the end of this year. The next step from the partners themselves is the conclusion of a lease agreement for these plots and the construction of these enterprises,» —says the head of the community.

Oleh Pylypenko says that investors were interested in the logistical location of the proposed plots. The community is located between two regions. It is planned that garbage will be brought to the plant not only from the community, but also from the entire Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

«Because the Shevchenkove community has a good logistical location, between two regional centers that are in ruins. The investor considered many locations and the project we presented turned out to be the most successful. There are actually two investors. One investor is people representing Belgium and France. The second investor represents Israel. Both there and there are appropriate technologies and equipment for recycling. They are two independent stories, but I think they have a good continuation. We still have a number of environmental projects, which we also discussed with them. It is clear that it will not happen tomorrow, but everything will depend on the security situation,» — Oleh Pylypenko notes.

The head of the community notes that waste recycling will significantly reduce the cost of rebuilding destroyed objects.

«These will be lines for the processing of destroyed objects. There will also be lines for the production of raw materials, construction materials that can be reused. Dismantled objects will need to be restored and built. Now in Ukraine, the situation with construction materials is much more complicated than before the full-scale invasion. In order to make construction materials cheaper, these technologies will be applied. It will be possible to obtain crushed stone, sand, cement from waste. We have calculated that this significantly reduces the cost of reconstruction. This is the main task,» — he said.

We would like to remind you that in the Kobleve community of the Mykolaiv Oblast, the investor cannot start the construction of a waste processing plant due to the lack of safety guarantees.

It was also reported that communities in Voznesensk intend to unite for the construction of a compost station.
