Austria to join the reconstruction of the Odesa region: memorandum of cooperation signed

Signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Odesa Oblast and Austria. Photo: Odesa Regional State AdministrationOn Monday, 16 June, the authorities of the Odesa region signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the federal state of Upper Austria.
This was announced by Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.
The signing took place during the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Austria, headed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Oleh Kiper, cooperation with Austria will help speed up the process of rebuilding the region and improve the quality of life of local residents.
«Together with the Governor of Upper Austria, Thomas Stelzer, we discussed areas of cooperation — from attracting Austrian business to restore the infrastructure of Odesa region to support humanitarian and social projects,» said Oleh Kiper.
As a reminder, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has proposed to create a new transport corridor connecting Odesa with the Greek port of Alexandroupoli through Bulgaria and Romania.
