During the attack on Ukraine, Russia «had no need» to use nuclear weapons, and Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes that this will continue to be the case.
Vladimir Putin said this in an interview with propagandist Pavel Zarubin, according to «Ukrainska Pravda».
In the film, made to mark the 25th anniversary of Vladimir Putin's stay in power, he says that during the war, Russia «wanted to provoke, wanted to make sure that they made mistakes».
He also claims that Russia has enough forces and means to «bring the war in Ukraine to its logical conclusion» and «with the result Russia needs», and that there is no need to use nuclear weapons for this.
Vladimir Putin also stated that reconciliation with the Ukrainian part of the Russian people is inevitable in the future.
As a reminder, US President Donald Trump claims that the US is closer to one of the parties in negotiations to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war. However, he did not want to name this party.
