The Russians have set up a torture chamber for kidnapped people in the cultural center of Odradivka village, Henichesk district, Kherson region.

A resident of the Kherson region, who did not want to give his name, told about the torture chamber, the Center for Journalistic Investigations reported.

The publication claims that the Russians are holding illegally detained people there, including those taken from the Kakhovka district.

«The Russians set up a torture chamber for detainees in the basement of the cultural center in Odradivka. Its area is very large and there are enough rooms where the boys are kept one at a time. Some of them are severely tortured and forced to cooperate,» said a local.

The publication received information that Oleksii Hrynko, abducted on March 22 this year in the village of Liubymivka, Kakhovka district, and Oleksandr Herchakovskyi, kidnapped on March 14 in Kakhovka, are currently being held in the torture chamber. Denys Shum, Ivan and Anton Shtepa, abducted in the village of Hornostaivka in November 2023, are also found there.

Another man is also being held in the basement of the cultural center, his last name cannot be established at the moment.

«I know that in our cultural center in Odradivka there is a basement to which the Russian military takes «unfortunate» people. They are being tortured there. «The Russians have repeatedly threatened to send other people there to the basement if they don't like something,» local residents said.

We will remind, as of January 2024, 12 cases of torture of civilians by the occupiers were recorded on the territory of the Mykolaiv region.
