A resident of Odesa is suspected of trafficking in people for work abroad, from whom documents were then taken, movement restricted and coerced into cooperation.

This was reported in the State Border Service.

According to the investigation, a local woman from Odessa organized the criminal business. She was looking for women to work abroad. Later, upon arrival in Romania, she took documents from Ukrainian women, restricted their movement and forced them to cooperate. She also took away social assistance, which she forced the victims to apply for in another country.

As noted, the organizer of the scheme was detained by the border guards and the police, she was informed of the suspicion.
