«The time from infection to the first clinical manifestations of the disease lasts from several hours to 2-3 days. The disease begins suddenly: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps appear. Pronounced general intoxication is possible: headache, dizziness, increase in body temperature to 38-39 degrees, weakness, drying of mucous membranes,» the message reads.
According to the Ministry of Health, the causative agents of such diseases are most often found in raw food of animal origin (eggs, unpasteurized milk, meat and seafood), as well as in unwashed fruits and vegetables.
At that time, the most common factors of transmission of acute intestinal infections are ready meals, confectionery, eggs, milk and dairy products.
«In the summer, vegetables and fruits, which can be stored without a refrigerator, can become a large part of the diet. Dishes should be made as simple as possible, with a minimum number of ingredients. Well-boiled or stewed foods are best stored,» added the Ministry of Health.
We will remind you that earlier the deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council made a decision to check the condition of protective structures in medical institutions.
Earlier it was reported that the former director of the Mykolaiv Regional Infectious Disease Hospital, deputy Svitlana Fedorova, stated that medicines and vaccines are kept in the family outpatient clinic No. 5 in conditions of record heat in Mykolaiv.
