The Supreme Court has stated that the interview of Oleksii Honchar, who calls himself «the cashier» of former Chief Justice Vsevolod Kniazev, contains unverified information about corruption related to court cases and can be regarded as an attempt to discredit the judiciary.

The court published this position on Facebook.

As you know, in a conversation with Bihus.info, he disclosed details of corruption schemes that had been operating in the judiciary for more than 10 years. He described how the rates for positive decisions changed and what role Mykolaiv officials and judges played in this.

«Given the seriousness of the allegations, we emphasise that the accuracy of the statements made in the interview is in no way confirmed either in the video itself or in the manner prescribed by law within the framework of criminal proceedings,» the Supreme Court said in a statement.

The agency stressed that only law enforcement agencies are authorised to verify possible facts of misconduct and provide a legal assessment.

«At the moment, such public statements bear signs of another attempt to discredit the judiciary by spreading unverified allegations,» the Court noted.

At the same time, the Supreme Court expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive assistance for the objective and impartial establishment of reliable data.
