Almost 200 buildings in the Korabel neighbourhood of Kherson were left without gas supply as a result of Russian air strikes. Among them are about 50 high-rise buildings and 150 private homes.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, according to «MOST».
According to him, the shelling damaged the gas pipeline. It needs to be repaired by working at heights, but the security situation does not allow this to happen.
«Due to constant shelling, it is impossible to guarantee the safety of workers. Therefore, it is currently impossible to predict when the gas supply will be resumed», explained Oleksandr Prokudin.
As a reminder, a bridge leading to the Korabel neighbourhood in Kherson was damaged by Russian air strikes. The regional authorities are asking residents to temporarily evacuate.
The deputy head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, said that Russian troops are trying to isolate the Korabel neighbourhood from the rest of Kherson. To do this, they are deliberately shelling the bridge across the Kosheva River, which connects the island part of the city with the mainland.
