IAEA spots 8 Russian drones near South Ukraine NPP

On the night of 9 April, IAEA experts spotted eight drones near the South Ukraine NPP at once.

This is stated in the organisation's report.

Experts note that frequent air raids and distant sounds of explosions near nuclear facilities in Ukraine «continue to highlight the risks to nuclear safety».

«On the night of 9 April, according to information from the facility, eight drones were detected flying within a radius of 4 kilometres from the South Ukraine NPP», the report says.

Earlier, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi warned of the risk of a nuclear accident in Ukraine due to Russian attacks.
