This was reported by the International Atomic Energy Agency on social network X and by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.
It is stated that at about 01:50, the IAEA team at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant heard an explosion. As it turned out, a drone crashed into the roof near the protective shell over the destroyed reactor No. 4 at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. The hit caused a fire to break out.
«Firefighters and vehicles responded within minutes. At the moment, there are no signs of a breakthrough of the NSC's internal protective shell», the statement said.
