Russians attack Kherson region in the morning: two people killed

On the morning of 9 January, Russian troops attacked Kherson region with drones and artillery. Two people died as a result of the shelling.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

It is noted that the Russians attacked Beryslav with drones. The shelling killed a 54-year-old man and injured three other civilians. Russian troops also fired artillery at the village of Nezlamne in the Bilozerka community, killing a 60-year-old resident.

The prosecutor's office said that law enforcement officers had launched a pre-trial investigation into the shelling in criminal proceedings on war crimes under Article 438, parts 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As a reminder, Russian troops struck 40 settlements in Kherson region on 8 January, killing four people and injuring 10 others.
